Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently recruiting for an Operational Support Specialist to assist our General Manager of Sun with a variety of operational duties including, but not limited to, the following:


  • Maintain strong communications with the General Manager of the facility
  • Split lots in Ample to the appropriate channel before/after product has been sold
  • Coordinate cannabis testing and prioritize which products can be released weekly
  • Monitor quality of dry room products and approve release to bulk packaging
  • Manage staff, schedules, and priorities of the Bulk Packaging department
  • Complete bulk inventory process post dry and sampling priorities
  • Provide post production details (inventory, lot, and product info) to Vancouver
  • Coordinate weekly inventory report for Vancouver
  • Update production spreadsheet to track batch numbers
  • Complete the weekly grow production update/forecast with the Lead Grower
  • Coordinate cannabis shipments coming in with QA, QC, bottling, bulk and shipping
  • second inspection of purchased products with final designation of product (mill, extract or menu bud)
  • Create and coordinate post production processes such as milled blends, finely trimmed cannabis, and capsules etc.
  • Develop new procedural efficiencies in post production departments
  • Travel to other Licensed Producers to conduct site inspections for possible cannabis purchases
  • Perform Ad Hoc duties throughout the facility
  • Coordinate the destruction of returned cannabis products from clients
  • Attend and participate in any relevant/necessary meetings and conferences
  • Assist in conflict resolution within the Bottling, Fulfillment, and Bulk Packaging departments
  • Understand and follow all related SOPs and procedures to GMP standards
  • Complete all required documentation using good documentations practices
  • Provide administrative support to various senior staff
  • Assist with the interview process and hiring personnel for post production departments




  • Certificate or college diploma in administration or another related field is considered an asset
  • Familiar with using office equipment such as photocopier, scanner, etc.
  • Strong reconciliation and audit skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in the use of computer software for word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet
  • Familiar with using Microsoft Office – Word, Excel etc.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment
  • Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written
  • Experience with construction or project based employment considered an asset
  • Experience using project management software or Microsoft SharePoint considered an asset
