Continuous Improvement Manager – East

 

We are looking for an experienced Continuous Improvement Manager to be responsible for overseeing various process designs, operations and implementations. The successful candidate will report to the Director of Innovation and Best Practices. They will be responsible for identifying and eliminating waste within various departments and increasing productivity by improving industrial processes to maintain efficiency, reduce cost, improve sustainability and maximize profitability.  Specific responsibilities comprise of developing, configuring and optimizing industrial processes from inception through to start up and certification.  Further duties include assessing processes, taking measurements and interpreting data, designing, running, testing and upgrading systems and processes.

 

 

Duties:
 

  • Provide leadership to the Aurora Continuous Improvement Team.
  • Effectively communicate with all members of Continuous Improvement Team and key stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems and process improvements for all business functions.
  • Develop best practices, routines and innovative solutions to improve production rates and quality of output
  • Coordinate with the Operational Excellence team to optimize improvement initiatives, identify and prioritize improvement initiatives, and standardize the improvement process.
  • Develop targeted Continuous Improvement training programs to support professional development of employees.
  • Facilitate the design, execution, and reporting of process improvement initiatives and their progress.
  • Lead and direct studies of cost, quality, productivity, value stream mapping, and root cause analysis.
  • Work with Continuous Improvement team and Site Management to establish KPIs and improvement tracking.
  • Lead or Support the process of Root Cause Analysis projects to improve site metrics and drive process improvement.
  • Analyze and evaluate business practices to identify and recommend site-specific process improvement initiatives.



Minimum Requirements:
 

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • 6-sigma Black Belt or equivalent certification/experience with Continuous Improvement.
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Bi-lingual candidates considered an asset.
  • Successful candidate must be willing and able to travel.
