The Extraction Coordinator is a key player in our organization. You will be responsible to ensure the organization’s performance standards and day to day operations for oils production and dispensing are met and maintained at the highest level in the industry.



  • Responsible for the execution of extraction and post processing of botanical natural products.
  • Responsible for the daily schedule for extraction, distillation and formulation staff as well as non-extractions staff present in the extraction lab.
  • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, and other departments to ensure schedule adherence
  • Ensure that proper sanitation is maintained for all production equipment and tools including workspaces, processing equipment, containers, and appliances.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, materials, equipment, including material safety data sheets for all chemicals and products
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work well with others.
  • Ability to master and control all equipment in a laboratory-type environment including; sophisticated high-pressure oil extraction equipment, centrifuges, homogenizers, concentrators, filtration, dilution and formulation equipment
  • Work towards meeting department goals around efficiencies, yields and cost.

  • Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora’s SOPs and comply with the Cannabis Act.
  • In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
  • Other duties as required



  • Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and/or pulling up to 30 lbs
  • Working environmental conditions range from 20 to 28 degrees Celsius
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required.
  • Manual dexterity required, confidence and comfort working with high pressure equipment




  • Previous experience in lead role in a processing environment in a relevant industry, including food, health care, pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a GMP environment is preferred
  • Must be able to wear Proper PPE (jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.)
  • Must have ability to work within a team environment
  • Close attention to detail
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, coupled with a sound mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent organizational skills, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Intermediate to excellent computer skills in MS Office
  • Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
