We’re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Cultivation Team as Cultivation Supervisor, Propagation.

 

As Cultivation Supervisor, Propagation you will be responsible for….

  •  The propagation processes and early growth stages of cannabis plants within a cultivation facility. This role involves supervising a team, ensuring proper care, monitoring plant health, and maintaining optimal conditions to facilitate successful propagation.

 

  • Duties and Responsibilities:
  1. Supervisory Leadership:
    • Supervise and lead a team responsible for propagation activities, providing guidance and support.
    • Assign tasks, schedule work shifts, and oversee daily operations within the propagation area.
  1. Propagation Management:
    • Oversee the propagation of cannabis plants through cloning, cuttings, or other propagation methods.
    • Monitor and maintain proper environmental conditions, such as temperature, humidity, and lighting, for successful propagation.
  1. Plant Care and Maintenance:
    • Monitor plant health, growth, and rooting stages, taking necessary actions to maintain optimal conditions.
    • Direct and oversee watering, feeding, and care protocols during the early growth stages.
  1. Quality Control and Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with propagation protocols, regulatory requirements, and quality standards.
    • Conduct inspections and quality checks to ensure adherence to set procedures and standards.
  1. Record-Keeping and Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate records of propagation activities, inventory, plant health, and treatments applied.
    • Ensure documentation compliance with regulatory standards and internal protocols.

Accountabilities:

  1. Supervision and direction of propagation activities to ensure successful early growth stages of cannabis plants.
  2. Maintenance of accurate records, compliance with propagation protocols, and adherence to quality standards.
  3. Leadership and support to the propagation team, ensuring tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. In-depth understanding of plant propagation techniques, particularly in the early growth stages.
  2. Strong leadership and supervisory skills to manage and motivate a propagation team.
  3. Ability to monitor and adjust environmental factors to optimize plant rooting and growth.
  4. Proficient in record-keeping, documentation, and compliance with regulations.

Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or related field; or equivalent experience and certifications.
  2. 3+ years of experience in cannabis cultivation, with specific experience in plant propagation.
  3. Supervisory or team leadership experience in a cultivation environment is highly preferred.
  4. Comprehensive knowledge of propagation techniques, compliance regulations, and quality control practices in cannabis cultivation.
