Aurora is recruiting an Electrician to for our Bradford facilitiy to execute a variety of tasks relating to set up and maintenance of our electrical infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for installations, troubleshooting malfunctions and repairing electrical connections. Ideally, the candidate will have a solid understanding of Industrial applications as well as being able to handle some Construction/Maintenance duties.  The successful candidate must possess strong problem-solving abilities and be flexible and willing to work on various equipment and machines either independently or in collaboration with the maintenance team. The candidate should have strong electrical knowledge to help maintain and assist with troubleshooting and preventative measures and be available on call after hours as required to respond to emergencies.



  • Lay out, assemble, install, repair, connect or test electrical fixtures, apparatuses, control equipment and wiring systems of alarm, communication, light, heat or power in buildings and equipment.
  • Troubleshoot PLC/HMI systems including but not limited to, AB and Omron.
  • Execute day to day programming changes as they relate to machine and HMI operations.
  • Collaborates with contractors in installing and repairing electrical systems.
  • Test electrical systems for other problems.
  • Add and adjust VFD parameters to ensure optimum operation.
  • Execute plans of wiring for lighting, communications and other electrical systems.
  • Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment for alarm and other systems.
  • Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components.
  • Prevent breakdown of systems by routinely inspecting and replacing old wiring and insulated cables, cleaning circuits, etc.
  • Perform effective troubleshooting to identify hazards or malfunctions and repair of substitute damaged units. 
  • Discover opportunities, make recommendations and implement improving conditions and execute various electrical systems.
  • Must be available to assist in after hour emergencies.
  • Other duties as assigned.




  • Electrician, Red Seal preferred.
  • Experience working in a production facility with GMP standards.
  • Experience working in an environment regulated by Health Canada also considered an asset.
  • Experience with adhering to standard operating procedures.
  • Knowledge of Building Automation Systems and components.
  • Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems.
  • PLC programming experience using multiple types of software such as Allen Bradley, Siemens or Omron.
  • Able to work in a Health Canada facility.
  • Experience with automated equipment and systems from VFD’s to Sensors.
  • Demonstrated ability to use electrical and hand tools, and understanding of electrical drawings and blueprints.
  • Able to follow strict SOP’s to ensure Health Canada compliance.
  • Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, federal and provincial regulations and guidelines.
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving ability and risk assessment.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Ability to worth through issues independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent time management & multi-tasking abilities, as well as a high level of energy and ability to provide an exceptional level of customer service to internal and external customers.
