Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for a Machine Operator (Packaging), to work with our production team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and packaging high-end pre-rolled cannabis products.

As a MACHINE OPERATOR (PACKAGING), you will….

• Monitor operating conditions of machines, perform minor preventative maintenance, and escalate performance issues as necessary
• Full understanding of SOPs relating to process and equipment
• Participate in the production of pre-rolls and operate production equipment
• Perform daily line set-up/ line clearance of pre-roll production process and equipment
• Produce pre-rolls in accordance with Cannabis Act Ensure conformity to product/brand
• Assist in packaging events of finished product in a fast-paced environment
• Daily cleaning and sanitization of tools and equipment
• Quality control and good documentation practices   
• Understand and adhere to Aurora’s Policies and Standard Operating Procedures and related documents.
•  Understand and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act, ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA).
• Promote and maintain GDP, GACP and GMP requirements.
• Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss.
• Other duties as required.

• 2-3 years experience in a manufacturing environment

• Knowledge of production procedures
• Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
• Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
• Creative problem-solving skills
• Reliable, passionate, and organized
• Ability to meet deadlines and ensure department goals are achieved
• Accurately follow instructions, complete forms and paperwork as required
• Knowledge or basic understanding of GDP, GACP and GMP standards is considered an asset
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as required to support operational requirements
