MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (REALIBILITY TECHNICIAN)

Location: Bradford, ON

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Respond to production issues in a timely manner and make quick decisions
  • Be responsible for repairing, maintaining, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of equipment
  • Keep all equipment in good working condition consistent with current SOP’s
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment
  • Safely operate all required equipment and tools including standard shop safety processes
  • Make parts to support equipment repair and improvements
  • Utilize blueprints, sketches, descriptions, experience and support from Engineering and other sources of technical support to accomplish tasks.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools to verify parts, components and details are dimensionally correct.
  • Work independently to service various internal customers.
  • Other duties as required

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A High school diploma/GED
  • Machine Tool Technology Associates Degree, or completion of Millwright/Mechanic Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience
  • Experience with/in pressure systems, small, automated packaging equipment, the food or pharmaceutical industry
  • Experience with all standard Millwright/Mechanical equipment
  • Must possess welding experience and/or appropriate
  • Experience with piping systems including Swagelok, Parker A-Lok
  • Thorough Pneumatic systems knowledge
  • Familiar with working in a cleanroom environment is considered an asset
  • Hold or gain a forklift user license/WAH within 3 months
  • Technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills
  • Be able to effectively utilize and interpret a standard CMMS program, SDS’s, work instructions, technical manuals and documents.
  • Possess blueprint reading abilities and computer skills lining up with the day and age (Office products such as Word and Excel)
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication, and teamwork.
  • Work independently and hold a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Physical capability of lifting 35 pounds unassisted
  • Be adaptable to a flexible working schedule
