OPERATIONAL SUPPORT SPECIALIST

 

Aurora is currently recruiting for an Operational Support Specialist to join our team. The incumbent will report directly to the General Manager at site.

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Lead Out of Specification Investigations (OOS), deviations, complaints and corrective actions though root cause analysis to ensure all SOP, Health Canada, and other applicable regulatory guidelines are consistently met.
  • Provides detailed OOS reports through collaborative efforts with quality and management.
  • Maintains databases and uses it for tracking and trending activities.
  • Identifies recurring deviations and ensures appropriate actions are taken.
  • Develops and implements corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) and verifies that those actions are appropriate, are implemented as planned, and have the intended effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement new procedural efficiencies in operational departments, including existing SOPs and document improvements
  • Update weekly production spreadsheets including products being harvested and or bulk packaged, samples going for testing, update treatment spreadsheet
  • Support change requests by initiating and driving the request

 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora’s SOPs and comply with The Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
  • Other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Undergraduate degree, and 2-3 years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a quality or production role
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently
  • Time management and follow-up skills; highly organized and detail oriented
  • Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on projects Knowledge of cannabis production and culture, especially focused on best-practices production methodology
