Salary : $75,000-85,000 to start.based on experience, qualifications, and overall fit for the role.

Job summary
The Cultivation Project Leader is responsible for driving key initiatives that enhance site performance, optimize yields, and improve cost efficiency. Serving as a program leader, this role oversees multiple concurrent projects and continuous improvement efforts across Cultivation and cross‑functional teams.
The incumbent ensures alignment with organizational objectives, manages stakeholder expectations, and delivers measurable results through structured planning, execution, and reporting. This position also plays a critical role in supporting and implementing initiatives that strengthen Cultivation efficiency and operational effectiveness. Responsibilities include coordinating process‑improvement activities, conducting data analysis, and applying project‑management best practices to advance overall operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, plan, and manage a portfolio of cultivation and yield‑related projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project management plans, including staffing, materials, equipment, subcontracting needs, and required services.
- Coordinate internal and external resource planning to support project execution.
- Organize and facilitate meetings with project teams, stakeholders, and leadership to communicate requirements, progress, and decision points.
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring clear communication, timely reporting, and alignment of expectations.
- Identify deviations, scope changes, or external risks and implement corrective actions to minimize project impact.
- Monitor and oversee the efficient use of materials, equipment, and other project resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure responsibilities are executed according to agreed‑upon expectations and project standards.
- Oversee onsite activities, ensuring quality, productivity, progress tracking, and adherence to safety protocols for employees and subcontractors.
- Manage financial and service components of contracts, including purchase order oversight and invoice review.
- Anticipate potential roadblocks and develop proactive solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Aurora’s quality systems and project management processes.
- Promote and uphold GMP requirements where applicable.
- Supervise and mentor the Data Technician Co‑op student, ensuring alignment with program goals and deliverables.
- Conduct audits and prepare compliance reports in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the Manager, Cultivation.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Excellent technical, organizational, managerial, and planning capabilities.
- Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively.
- Exceptional critical‑thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
- Strong independent research skills and the ability to synthesize information into actionable insights.
- Highly adaptable and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast‑paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams and across functional areas.
Education, & Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years of project management experience within the manufacturing, food production, or healthcare industries.
- Post secondary education. Engineering focus is preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully planning and executing projects on schedule and within budget.
- Experience managing projects involving multidisciplinary teams in a fast‑paced, innovation‑driven environment.
- Ability to interpret, apply, and understand contract language and basic contract law principles.
- PMP designation or equivalent project management certification is considered an asset.
- Experience with R statistical software and Power BI is desirable.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems (BAS) is an asset.
- Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry is considered an asset.
