Job Responsibilities:

  • Respond to production issues in a timely manner
  • Be responsible for repairing, maintaining and performing preventative maintenance on production equipment as assigned
  • Keep all equipment in good working condition consistent with current SOP’s
  • Inspect and test machinery and equipment
  • Safely operate all required equipment and tools including standard shop safety processes  
  • Make parts to support equipment repair and improvements
  • Utilize blueprints, sketches, descriptions, experience and support from Engineering and other sources of technical support to accomplish tasks.
  • Utilize precision measuring tools to verify parts, components and details are dimensionally correct.
  • Work independently to service various internal customers.
  • Other duties as required

Job Requirements:

  • A High school diploma/GED
  • Machine Tool Technology Associates Degree, or completion of Millwright Apprenticeship program or equivalent experience.
  • Experience as a Machine Operator is required
  • Experience with drill presses, bandsaws, sheet metal breaks, mills and lathes
  • Must be able to use GTAW welding process to fabricate sanitary parts as required
  • Experience with assembling piping systems including Swagelok, Parker A-Lok
  • Extensive Pneumatic systems knowledge
  • Be adaptable to a flexible working schedule
  • Familiar with working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Hold or gain a fork lift user license within 3 months
  • Hold or gain working at heights certification within 3 months
  • Technical problem solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively utilize basic shop math skills required.
  • Possess strong written and oral communication skills and the ability to read, comprehend and write English at a level to effectively utilize and interpret SDS’s, work instructions, technical manuals and documents.
  • Blueprint reading and computer skills
  • Experience with automated control systems and troubleshooting automated packaging lines.
  • Excellent skills in interpersonal relationships, communication and teamwork.
  • Work independently and possess a high level of self-motivation and initiative.
  • Physical capability of lifting 35 pounds unassisted
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
