Job summary

The Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in supervising the inbound, outbound, and inventory/materials management process for the site.  This position involves supervising staff, maintaining accurate Standard Operating Procedures, maintaining accurate inventory transactions, and supporting a multi-shift and multi-site operation.

 

In this role you will be responsible for:

 

•    Supervise the warehouse and destruction teams in the planning, execution, and review of all inbound, outbound, packing, inventory, and materials management activities
•    Prepare, review, and train on corporate, site, and team SOP’s, work instructions, job aides, etc.
•    Responsible for labour planning, scheduling, and timekeeping activities in Dayforce
•    Supervise employee and team performance, lead performance review process for direct reports
•    Support the Coordinators in completing cycle counts for consumable and cannabis products within the warehouse and cage; investigate variances and ensure inventory accuracy metrics are met
•    Determine the best use of the physical warehouse space to achieve optimal efficiency
•    Meet or exceed team performance metrics; transfer SLA’s, TRIF, employee engagement, etc
•    Assume the SME role for Warehousing activities during audits and inspections
•    Take an active role in the international export planning and execution activities
•    Ensure the team and warehouse are always audit-ready
•    Participate in daily/weekly/monthly/ad-hoc business meetings, as necessary
•    Provide back-up supervisory coverage for the Vault team in the absence of the Vault Supervisor
•    Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

 

Knowlege, Skills and Abilities:

 

•    Comfortable working in a GMP manufacturing environment (on-site)
•    Strong leadership, decision-making, communication, conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
•    Proven leadership in health and safety, quality, and employee engagement activities 
•    Knowledge of warehouse processes; including receiving, material handling, replenishment, picking, packing, palletizing, loading, and storage
•    Ability to maintain harmonious relationships with all teams, vendors, and stakeholders
•    Competent with Microsoft 365 software and RF scanning technology
•    Possess a continuous improvement mindset, comfortable with root cause analysis and implementing corrective/preventative actions; Lean/Six Sigma training preferred

 

Education and Experience:

 

•    Post-secondary education in business, supply chain, or operations; CITT/APICS training preferred 
•    Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience in a logistics, distribution, or warehousing role
•    Previous experience working in a food, automotive, or pharmaceutical regulatory environment required
•    Minimum 5 years of experience working with WMS/TMS/ERP systems; Sage X3 preferred
•    Previous MHE operating experience preferred, or willingness to be trained
