SUPERVISOR, PACKAGING (AFTERNOON SHIFT)

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise a team consisting of Primary and Secondary Packaging
  • Revise, understand, and follow all SOPs related forms to GMP standards
  • Complete all required documentation using good documentation practices
  • Properly maintain batch records
  • Provide training, leadership, and guidance to team members
  • Assist with conflict resolution within their team
  • Follow and implement instructions from the Packaging Manager and ensure all assigned tasks are executed by Packaging Coordinators and team members
  • Maintain proper communication with the Packaging Manager and attend and participate in team meetings as required.
  • Ensure staff are complying with GMP’s, SOP’s and other company processes and policies
  • Work with management to establish and manage current and long-term manufacturing objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Setting daily, weekly and monthly goals and objectives and measuring performance
  • Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora’s SOPs and comply with The Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements
  • Other duties as required

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate from a university, college or technical institute
  • One to three years supervisory experience
  • Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment is considered an asset
  • Familiar with a variety of Packaging concepts, practices and procedures
  • Strong organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership dealing with direct reports, setting goals and objectives and measuring performance
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure and tight timelines
  • Ability to deal with confidential information with a high degree of diplomacy
  • Intermediate knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)
