We are looking for a Supervisor, Quality Assurance who is ready to learn, grow, and take on new challenges. They will be part of our growing Quality team, focusing on the oversight of  cultivation and production in-process controls on the floor working closely with the operations team.



  • Provide guidance to production employees and peers to ensure programs and methods are within regulatory and corporate requirements to maintain the quality and safety of the product.
  • Provide leadership and supervision to in-process on the floor quality assurance and quality technician employees by providing work direction, scheduling, performance feedback, and recommendation for training and development.
  • Provide leadership and supervision in all areas of quality assurance focused on operational controls including but not limited to the raw material system, in-process manufacturing controls, label verification and master labels, on the floor quality assurance inspections, line clearances, inventory records, materials management, new product quality assurance and laboratory testing requirements (as required)
  • Where applicable ensure that all corporate quality measure in the plants are monitored by maintaining the plants systems and promote a focus on excellence in quality, yield and cost containment in conjunction with assisting with Continuous Improvement initiatives
  • Reinforce the quality assurance function by promoting awareness of and adherence to quality assurance and product safety standards/principles/practices within all operating group areas, by conducting regular GMP, EU GMP, Health Canada (and other regulatory requirement) training with all employees, analyzing quality trends, and supporting production with problem solving.
  • Where applicable assist in the improvement of existing products and of the development of new products by reviewing label compliance, packaging approvals, standard operating procedures and process flows to ensure cannabis quality and regulatory requirements are met
  • Where applicable ensure timely and accurate testing ingredients and finished products to achieve compliance with product specifications and support on-going efficiency of manufacturing
  • Where applicable participate in the development of new or existing products and the introduction of new technology by performing evaluations, supporting on-site inspections and validations to ensure regulatory requirements are being met
  • Sample submission of bulk and final product for laboratory analysis, tracking/trending of laboratory testing to ensure timelines are adhered to and communication of product release information to the production team
  • Act as the quality representative (when required) to communicate with third-party testing laboratories, planning and operations to ensure turn-around-times, and testing requirements are met according to business needs
  • Work with the QA Manager to ensure effective and efficient processes
  • Support adherence to departmental budget through on-going monitoring of departmental spending
  • Write standard operating procedures, manuals, work instructions when required
  • Where applicable, in collaboration with operations, patient/customer service, respond to patient, customer and consumer demands
  • Participate and lead continuous process improvement initiatives
  • Assist the Quality Assurance Manager to monitor and maintain, in combination with the production department, high quality standards
  • Other duties as assigned.






  • A Canadian (or assessed as equivalent) B.Sc. degree or equivalent in an applicable discipline of science (chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology, chemical engineering, medicine, horticulture, medical laboratory science or related).
  • Three (3) years’ experience in Quality Assurance, preferably on the production floor/in process controls including Quality inspections
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurances programs such as GMP, HACCP and ISO.
  • Strong team facilitation/leadership skills with a commitment to team development.
  • Strong interpersonal, and communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Leadership / team facilitation skills.
  • Analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient with standard office computer technology such as Microsoft Office products, as well as business systems such as SAGE
