TECHNICAL ASSISTANT, SITE AND FACILITY MAINTENANCE

 

Location: Bradford, ON

 

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

  • Conduct daily facility walk-throughs to ensure all systems are functioning properly
  • Able to perform assigned Preventative Maintenance tasks
  • Ability to use hand tools with some proficiency and be able to follow instructions both written and verbal
  • Have situational awareness of Plant surroundings both office and Production and be able to react appropriately.  This can include performing the repair or getting others to perform the repair.
  • Collect and organize new deliveries and supplies and ensure the stock areas are kept organized, clean, and tidy.
  • Assisting with the daily maintenance of the facility (i.e., changing lightbulbs, W/C repairs, assisting the tradesman, working on other repairs within your scope etc.)
  • Work with contractors as needed
  • Able to work at heights
  • Respond to emergencies during and after hours as needed
  • Be available to work any shifts, overtime and take on-call shifts during weekends on a shared basis
  • Computer literacy is a must
  • Must be punctual
  • Other duties as required

 

QUALIFICATIONS:
 

  • Previous experience in a similar Maintenance role an asset
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic maintenance tasks
  • Forklift/WAH certification preferred
  • Willingness to perform various support tasks
  • Computer literacy
  • Demonstrate regard for safety and knowledge of standards
  • Capable of lifting 50lbs independently
