COORDINATOR, INVENTORY CONTROL

 

Aurora is recruiting a Coordinator, Inventory Control to be responsible for coordinating all inventory-related requirements with Management team, 3PL partner, and other departments as required.  The focus of this role is to maintain Inventory Control programs, processes, and procedures. These activities include, but are not limited to, resolving discrepancies and assisting with inventory count procedures between multiple ERP and WMS systems. This position also ensures timely and accurate reporting of data and supporting Distribution Centre operations and administration.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Audit inventory adjustments, cycle counts and inventory processes on a regular basis, to ensure 3PL maintains a consistent operating standard.
  • Address and escalate all variances identified by 3PL with respect to cycle counts and inventory counts.
  • Ensure 3PL adheres to developed Inventory Count practices.
  • Ensure all documentation is complete and follows appropriate chain-of-signature.
  • Assist with the systematic administration of shipments (and returns) received into the facility.
  • Liaise with Sales Ops team to ensure Master Data records are up-to-date in the 3PL’s system.
  • Assist in developing solutions for the Logistics Team, with regards to the corporate ERP system as it relates to Inventory and Logistics.
  • Use reporting tools to provide appropriate Inventory Control context to the Logistics Team.
  • Archive inventory levels and monitor variances in stock levels.
  • Balance inventory on a weekly and monthly basis and report findings.
  • Daily review and reconciliation of all inventory held within the facility.
  • Provide insight to inventory issues and identify opportunities for process development.
  • Assist with month-end inventory audits and consolidate to both the Finance and Operations department.
  • Track inventory damage and assist QA in resolving deviations.
  • Assist with data entry process.
  • Assist Buyer with receiving supply orders and resolve purchasing discrepancies.
  • Reconcile quantity on hand and unit of measure discrepancies.
  • Oversee and ensure day-to-day inventory transactions are current and accurate.
  • Other duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years of Inventory Control experience.
  • 3+ years in Logistics, Operations, Warehousing, Fulfillment, and/or Production setting.
  • 1+ years in a Finance or Analytical role considered an asset.
  • Post-Secondary education and/or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • Supply Chain or Inventory Management credentials considered an asset
  • Inventory management discipline.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Financial and analytical background and skills.
  • Strong organization and communication are required.
  • Strong problem identification and problem resolution skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with Accurate data entry skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as warehouse management ERP systems.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and be on call.
