Job Summary:

In this role, the QA Auditor is responsible for conducting quality reviews of all incoming recreational and medical cannabis products to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal standards. They are responsible for completing documentation review for supporting documents provided by the 3PL logistics partner. Additionally, the QA Auditor is responsible for the timely investigation and closure of customer complaints, ensuring that all required information is accurately communicated to 3PL Quality Assurance for coordinated follow-up, investigation and corrective actions and they are to coordinate escalation and communication of any potential product loss/theft with the site QAP/AQAP and Health Canada.

Additionally, they prepare supporting documentation for regulatory audits, support the site’s self-inspection program relating to 3PL activities, maintaining timely housing of training rosters and performing any additional duties assigned by the QA Manager.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Complete document review for materials and supporting documents provided by the 3PL logistics partner.
  • Investigate and close customer complaints in a timely manner, ensuring accurate transfer of information to 3PL Quality Assurance for coordinated follow‑up, investigation and corrective action.
  • Coordinate escalation and timely communication of potential product loss or theft with the site QAP/AQAP and Health Canada.
  • Prepare supporting documentation required for customer/regulatory audits.
  • Participate in internal self‑inspections and audit programs for 3PL functions.
  • Audit on‑floor records for example sanitation logs, logbooks, and production records.
  • Support site Training Program through timely housing of training rosters.
  • Promote a positive safety culture through participation in and adherence to Health Safety and Environment (HSE) programs.
  • Promote positive working relationships with internal departments.
  • Act as an ambassador for regulatory and process compliance.
  • Support GMP and Health Canada compliance across the facility.
  • Contribute to ongoing improvements of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Assist in SOP development and writing for quality‑related processes.
  • Support deviation and complaint investigations, including data gathering and root‑cause identification.
  • Build strong cross‑functional relationships to promote openness and compliance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the QA Manager.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: 

  • Familiarity with GMP, GDP, GPP, or other industry-specific regulatory frameworks.
  • Quality experience in a regulated GMP manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong understanding of data integrity principles (ALCOA+). 
  • Ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams.

 

Education :

  • A college diploma or a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in a related scientific discipline.
  • 1-3 years of experience in a similar quality function.
  • Quality experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is a plus.

 

Working Conditions :

  • Standard office environment 
  • Able to work on site 
  • Able to work with various cannabis strains 
  • Able to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
