We are currently looking for a Production Manager to join our Cultivation team at our WMMC Pemberton, BC facility. The individual will report directly to the Lead Cultivator and is responsible for managing the Propagation and Cultivation teams grow our world class Whistler products.



  • Direct and supervise the cultivation team to meet production timelines.
  • Adapt all activities to support the established companywide KPI’s.
  • Monitor growing areas and crops daily and supervise all activities within their section.
  • Ensure that accepted IPM procedures are being maintained.
  • Supervise all pesticide applications within assigned section; apply pesticides, chemicals and biologicals as required for maintaining crop health.
  • Monitor and adjust nutritional programs after testing and consultation with the Head Grower.
  • Maintain pruning procedures and schedules.
  • Monitor and adjust irrigation applications daily with irrigation technicians.
  • Manage and plan space allocation for new plants scheduled from production.
  • Assist research and development department with production profiling and optimization.
  • Train supervisors and staff as necessary to perform efficiently and effectively, and to company standards.
  • Performance management of staff and development of team members.
  • Provide timely labor, cultural, and inventory adjustment data; maintain growing records that include specifics about plant growth, fertilization, pest problems and any treatment.
  • Communicate frequently with Lead Cultivator about priorities, solving problems, and any other issues
  • Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.




  • A degree in Horticulture or significant related industry experience is necessary for consideration.
  • Experience in cannabis cultivation.
  • 2-4 years of supervisory/people management experience.
  • High level of organizational skills with specific ability to prioritize activities, manage workflow and optimize labor and equipment utilization.
  • Knowledge of plants, diseases, insects and fungi, as well as plant treatment options.
  • Strong leadership experience with an operations management mindset and approach.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Inherently sound human resource values and problem resolution skills in combination with a history of strong leadership skills and talent development of direct and indirect reports.
  • Possess the financial acumen to manage, measure, and improve the operations effectiveness and profitability.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Applications.
