We’re searching for an ambitious professional to plant their roots with us as our newest Senior Manager, HR Business Partner. In this role, you will report into the Director, Human Resources (Corporate) and provide strategic and consultative support to business stakeholders across our corporate functions at Aurora. You will be an integral partner to our business and collaborate with all levels of the organization to define and implement innovative people strategies that support our culture and values and open the world to cannabis. As a Senior Manager, HR Business Partner, you will…

  • Provide strategic direction and advice to Business Leaders across the corporate functions regarding employment related issues including but not limited to organizational design, interpretation of company policies & procedures, recruitment & selection strategy, performance management, strategic workforce planning, and training & development
  • Support the delivery and deployment of HR programs and processes and lead in coaching and guiding in functional and cross-functional initiatives (Performance Management, Total Rewards, Succession Planning, Engagement Survey, and the Performance Review Cycle)
  • Provide coaching & support to management on leadership development, talent & performance management, change & people management
  • Lead and support any organizational change initiatives
  • Support M&A activities including helping with due diligence and integrations
  • Lead the handling of employee complaints, conduct investigations, and recommend appropriate actions to resolve issues and maintain a positive work environment
  • Recognize barriers to success and facilitate proactive resolution that supports a high performing culture
  • Contribute to continuous improvement & best practices to influence human resources strategies
  • Partner with key stakeholders within and outside of the team including Total Rewards, HRIS, and Payroll
  • Ensure that the interests of employees and company are considered in accordance with HR policies and applicable government laws and regulations – i.e. ESA, Human Rights Code



You will be setup for success if you have…

  • 8+ years of HR Business Partnering experience supporting VP+ Executives
  • Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration or relevant field (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Prior experience interacting and influencing all levels of an organization with comprehensive consultative, partnering, facilitating, and negotiating skills
  • Deep HR acumen in the area of employee relations, talent management, and change management
