COLLABORATION APPLICATIONS ANALYST

 

Reporting to the Manager, Collaboration Applications, the Collaboration Applications Analyst will develop, maintain and improve collaboration applications by evaluating business needs, analyzing and gathering requirements, and developing software systems in accordance with IT standards.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  •  5+ years of experience working with SharePoint Online, Office 365 and complementing technologies
  • Experience with document and records management using an enterprise system
  • Experience creating SharePoint Governance plans to support developing best practices
  • Experience documenting business requirements, system design, test cases, and production changes, along with developing end-user training and reference materials
  • Experience developing and implementing Governance and Information Architecture plans for SharePoint and other Collaboration environments
  • Experience integrating SharePoint with other enterprise systems
  • Experience with Corporate Communications IT Solutions including intranets, extranets, and social media platforms
  • Experience with Skype for Business, Teams, Power Apps, Forms, Flow and other Microsoft Tools to solve business problems and increase collaboration and access to data
  • Accomplished presenter with the ability to engage at all levels of the organization
  • Strong understanding of programming methodologies and best practices
  • Strong collaboration skills to work in extremely fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • Collaborate and build a strong relationship with all member of the IT team and key business stakeholders to create and maintain reliable, efficient, and high-quality application solutions
  • As required, participate in infrastructure projects that may affect business applications systems to assess impact and ensure operational stability
  • Work closely with external vendors to develop and implement projects / systems for the business
  • Work with the IT team to evaluate and document departmental, IT processes and procedure, and business processes and procedures, to ensure consistent support and administrative practices

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Knowledge of the cannabis industry considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of other collaboration tools like LucidCharts, Smartsheets, Confluence and JIRA is considered a strong asset
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5-10 years’ experience in application development and system analysis
  • Minimum of 5 years of analysis, design, and toolset experience pertinent to project engagement
  • Strong understanding and experience with IT operational process frameworks
  • Broad knowledge of computer systems technology, programming, design techniques, and various Software Development Lifecyle methodologies
