Director, Global Human Resource Services


Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this position will lead the development, deployment, and assessment and alignment of global HR Services, guidelines, policies, processes and technologies to both attract and retain talent. This position ensures that global HR services are aligned and delivered effectively and efficiently to employees and supports the Company in achieving business results and strategies and programs to support the evolution of Aurora’s culture.





  • Thinks strategically and ensure deliverables are aligned with parent organization and create awareness of this direction with affected members/business functions.
  • Plans and optimizes the successful delivery and implementation of global HR programs, guidelines, frameworks & policies and technologies.
  • Provides guidance and collaborates with regional HR Directors, Managers and HR Business Partners and other team members to develop solutions to meet business needs and to deliver the HR strategy, ensuring a consistent global approach, while ensuring local sensitivity.
  • Ensures global offices are in compliance with all applicable local, state and federal employment regulations.
  • Leads operational human resources integrations initiatives for all international acquisitions including due diligence.
  • Ensures all aspects of international HR services are delivered by the business area in a timely manner including recruitment, compensation, payroll, benefits, report development/analysis, compensation, performance management and various related HR operational functions.  
  • Provides information and analysis related to Human Resource services to support corporate decision making relating to people practices and programs.
  • Consolidates the international workforce plans and identifies strategies and recommendations arising from the plan. Monitors business progress against the execution of workforce plans and ensures plans are aligned with corporate principles.
  • Develops and administers all immigration, relocation and international employment policies, processes and programs (including temporary and expatriate assignments)
  • Develop and report key performance indicators for HR. Uses information and analysis to support organizational decision making related to people practices.
  • Other assigned duties as required to meet business area needs




  • Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Broad knowledge of HR related legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of the Corporation’s compensation and benefit programs.
  • Strong communication and mediation skills are essential (written and oral).

  • University Degree and 8-10 or more years directly related experience;
  • Previous international HR experience preferred.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation is an asset; and
  • Demonstrated success in a managerial role.
  • Able to travel internationally
