ERP Functional Analyst

Reporting to the Manager of IS Applications, the ERP Functional Analyst role is a critical position supporting key stakeholders in the design, implementation and optimization of business processes with a focus on Sage X3. The role is responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of the design, configuration, reporting and business processes within Sage X3.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Sage X3 modules
  • Focused on working with key stakeholders to support the Sage X3 application including ongoing maintenance and roll-out of new modules and organizational entities
  • Understands company business processes as required to provide support
  • Works in conjunction with internal and external IT professionals to provide support for application maintenance, modification and enhancement as required through problem solving, testing, reports development and documentation
  • Works with business users and application developers to identify bugs, recommend, prioritize and implement enhancements
  • Communicates with stakeholders (written and verbal) clearly to ensure support issues and project tasks are dealt with quickly and efficiently
  • Provides training on financial processes in relation to the system
  • Develops and executes test plans, and assembles and documents test results when required 
  • Liaise and collaborate with various international offices and internal departments.
  • Assists in the design and deployment of internal control policies
  • Participates in ad-hoc projects as required by management.
  • Documents and implements process changes and improvements.
     

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • University degree, some accounting experience/training/certification
  • Must have experience with one or more of Sage X3 (Preferred) or other large-scale ERP (SAP, MS Dynamics AX, Oracle Financials)
  • Strong business expertise, a keen understanding of business needs, and ability to ensure technical solutions, strategies, practices, and deliver business and customer value.
  • Experience implementing / supporting one or more of:
    • Finance Functions (GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Foreign Exchange, Inter-Company Transactions)
    • Manufacturing Functions (BoM, Purchasing, Work Orders, Scheduling, Shop Floor, Cost Control, MRP)
    • Inventory Management (Purchasing, Warehouse Management, Stock Transfers, Shipping/Receiving)
  • Build a good understanding across areas outside of your core competency – e.g. Finance, Manufacturing and Inventory Management
  • Ability to effectively document business and technical designs
  • Experience with ITIL or similar frameworks including Change Management, Release Management, Configuration Management and Software Development Lifecycle
  • Adept at translating business requirements into technical solutions 
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast pace, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Broad understanding of Information Technology functions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Comfortable training individuals or groups in a “train-the-trainer” setting
  • Team-oriented, ability to build relationships effectively
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently

 ADDITIONAL DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Professional Designations (CPA, SCMP, PMI-PBA)
  • Experience using Sage SEI Report Writer tool or similar (Crystal Reports, SSRS, PowerBI)
  • Knowledge of software requirements for the auditing of financial systems and procedures
