Reporting to the Director, Innovation and Best Practices, the GRAPHIC PRINT MANAGER will be responsible for but, not limited to, the following:




  • Lead all production and print activities for Aurora and our subsidiary companies (with a focus on labelling and secondary packaging)
  • Maintain production schedules for print
  • Maintain brand consistency/ensures compliance with corporate branding standards across multiple channels
  • Collaborate closely with many stakeholders across the company including: marketing, industrial design and regulatory affairs
  • Execute on concepts and projects initiated by the design and marketing teams
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
  • Communicate with our various printers
  • Take ownership of internal and external printing process quality/output
  • Maintain working knowledge of our wide range of printers, their consumables and technical limitations
  • Work closely with label coordinator to make sure files are accurate/compliant/consistent across printers
  • Performance and incident tracking / reporting
  • Plan, assign and adjust production priorities to meet daily, weekly and monthly demands responding to trends
  • Direct development of new processes, equipment, suppliers and products and advise on best production practices and process improvements with goals of improved quality, cost and delivery.
  • Establish procedures, monitor and report against quality, safety and compliance goals based on best practices
  • Provide input and assistance to employees and management team on technical issues, problems and potential resolutions on a timely manner




  • Ability to manage tight deadlines and have an understanding of graphic design principles and industry standard software including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign) on a PC & Mac platform
  • Knowledge of pre-press setups, printing and publishing processes
  • Knowledge of best practices and specifications for traditional and digital advertising (including social media)
  • Ability to effectively manage workflow in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated to maintain and improve design standards
  • Willing to listen to feedback and incorporate suggestions in order to improve
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills




  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma; preferably in graphic design
  • 3-5 years in managerial role
  • High level of proficiency in In-Design and Illustrator
    • Specifically doing pre-press checks (overprint, separations preview etc.)
  • Experience working in a high volume print shop
    • Setting up jobs, quality control etc.
  • Experience working with remote teams is an asset
  • Working in a highly regulated industry considered an asset – pharma, food etc.
  • Knowledge of digital print production techniques and materials, plus experience with management of and negotiation with external agencies and deliverables
  • Include all press specifications in mechanical files: marks, registration, gain curves, profiles
