Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for a Supervisor, Concentrates to work with our manufacturing team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing production and team members.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee Manufacturing Shift Leads, Operators and Team Members
- Handle performance management and goal setting for/with team members
- Delegate tasks and handle issues as they arise with respect to workflows as well as people management
- Provide mentorship to team members and assist with workloads when necessary
- Ability to manage a diverse and growing team of individuals
- Resolve problems and recommend measures to improve productivity, product quality, and safety
- Revise, understand, and follow all SOPs and related forms to GMP standards
- Coordinate weekly inspections with staff, document and follow up on deficiencies and provide report to management
- Communicate and work closely with Team Leads and Managers from other departments to coordinate activities that affect the daily manufacturing schedule
- Work with Operations and Shipping and Receiving to coordinate storage of materials
- Follow up to ensure work is completed and plan necessary cleaning and sanitizing
- Use various computer applications to enable efficient planning and scheduling, and approve time clock punches
- Comply with all Health and Safety policies and procedures relating to performance of tasks, use of products or supplies, and incident reporting
- Communicate on a regular basis with the Manufacturing Manager, Concentrates to ensure company goals are met and the team is functioning smoothly

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in a supervisory position within a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of manufacturing procedures
- High level of mechanical aptitude
- Ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands
- Demonstrated ability to operate material-handling equipment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong leadership skills, extensive experience managing teams
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Reliable, passionate, and organized
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Must be on time and remain on site for entire shift
- Ability to meet deadlines and ensure department goals are achieved
- Accurately follow instructions, complete forms and paperwork as required
- Knowledge or basic understanding of GMP standards is considered an asset
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as required to support operational requirements
