Aurora is currently recruiting for a Materials Management Coordinator for our Sky Facility, located within Edmonton International Airport. Reporting directly to the Senior Materials Manager, the responsibilities of the successful candidate will include, but are not limited to, the following:  




  • Establish, understand, and follow all department SOPs and related forms to GMP standards and complete all required documentation using good documentation practices.
  • Develop and implement standardized practices and working instructions for materials handling, materials storage, and materials inventory for controlled and uncontrolled materials.
  • Develop training materials and provide continuous coaching to facilitate a “best practice” approach and to ensure regulatory compliance within materials management activities.
  • Define daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly deliverables for materials management with a focus on continuous improvement for operational processes within department scope.
  • Coordinate across departments to help facilitate cannabis and non-cannabis shipments due for transfer, treatment, lab testing and sample analysis.
  • Responsible for facilitation of department payroll including timely timesheet approval, troubleshooting and resolution of payroll issues as required, and management of time off requests. Develop and perform all onboarding activities for materials management.
  • Oversee inventory management systems with emphasis on ensuring records are accurate and constantly “Health Canada Audit” ready. Audit teams to ensure all hardcopy and paper records are kept up to date, accurate and within regulatory compliance.
  • Perform and enter a large volume of transactions with SAGE X3 ERP with a high degree of accuracy. Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output. Perform transactional adjustments based upon investigative review.
  • Maintain status and provide updates on inventory with recommended improvements and changes for slow moving and obsolete inventories. Coordinate with Procurement Department to ensure inventory levels of all materials are maintained.
  • Coordinate and record materials management department, management, and town hall meetings as required.



  • ERP Implementation experience and high level of ERP systems knowledge considered an asset. Sage ERP X3 experience is a strong asset.
  • Advanced Office suite with exceptional Excel, Outlook, and Word skills. Ability to utilize and develop programs within multiple cloud-based platforms.
  • Knowledge of supply chain with a focus on pharmaceuticals or high-volume manufacturing sectors.
  • Experience coordinating across departments and teams while maintaining strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions within a constantly evolving work environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure in high stress environments and under tight timelines.
  • ARPIC status with Health Canada or ability to obtain clearance.
