Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking to hire a Payroll Analyst for our growing payroll team! Reporting to the Payroll Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:



  • Will oversee and test set up, configurations and processing in payroll system
  • Manage provincial payroll taxes and WCB accounts ensuring they are kept up to date and reconciled on a quarterly basis
  • Ability to identify and resolve escalations or complex issues with strong emphasis on associated patterns, trends and root cause analysis
  • Will assist payroll supervisor in quarterly payroll reconciliations and completion of year end filings with CRA and MRQ
  • Supports formal internal and external audits, and understands legislated requirements pertaining to such
  • Remain current on new legislation and regulatory rulings impacting payroll
  • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to identify and resolve escalations or complex issues
  • Capable of handling confidential, sensitive and personal information
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Strong planning and organization skills to determine priorities with strict deadlines
  • Strongly proficient in Microsoft Excel


  • Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP)
  • Full cycle payroll experience is preferred
  • Quebec payroll experience is an asset
  • Detail oriented: High attention to detail
  • Organizational skills: Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects with tight and competing deadlines
  • Customer service Focus: drive for service excellence
  • Experience using payroll software, time and attendance and HRIS systems
  • Experience with U.S. payroll is a strong asset
  • Knowledge of payroll functions and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Ceridian is an asset
