Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Document Control Supervisor, West to join our team. The successful candidate will be required to have some flexibility in their schedule to meet the needs of the facility. This individual will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager at Sky, and will be responsible for the following:



  • Oversee the process for creating and maintaining consistent Document Control Standards in facilities in Western Canada.
  • Organize and co-chair monthly Document Control meetings for facilities in Canada.
  • Oversee and maintain a compliant document control system through manual controls or electronic controls as required in Western Canada.
  • Supervise Document Control Associates and Technical Writers at Sky.
  • Present Document Control key learning points at our Sky GMP training sessions.
  • Own the Sky Document Control SOP and process.
  • Train Document Control Associates at Sky
  • Assess performance metrics of Document Control Group at Sky and oversee improvement initiatives.



  • Supervise and oversee the following activities at Sky facility:
      • Set the priorities for the day and assign responsibilities to ensure priority work is completed.
      • Document control processes including; issuing, reviewing, distributing, and filing controlled documents.
      • Track and enforce annual / biennial document review by document owners.
      • Issue document numbers following an approved process, prepare and distribute batch records and log books as required by production.
      • Notify staff of revisions and remind of training as required.
      • File and maintain all records as per Cannabis Act requirements / GMP / SOP procedures.
      • Understand and follow all related SOPs and procedures to Cannabis Act and GMP standards.
      • Follow and enforce GDP in record-keeping.
      • Work closely with production to ensure documentation is compliant. 



  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Document Management
  • Experience in a Drug or Natural Health Care product manufacturing environment beneficial
  • Thorough understanding of document control as an integral element of the Quality Management System.
  • Competency of technological writing (SOPs, Annual Reports, Investigation Summary)
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to speak and write in English.  Bilingualism is considered and asset.


Required Education

  • Formal Document Control Training an asset


Related Experience

  • Document Control 5 years in Pharmaceutical, Medical Device, Natural Health Product manufacturing or regulated industry.
