Reporting to the Manager, Maintenance, the Shop Technician will be responsible for performing maintenance and repairs within the Aurora Polaris facility located at the Edmonton International Airport. 



  • Perform maintenance and mechanical repairs of equipment
  • Perform installation and setup of equipment and automated packaging lines
  • Plan and monitor shop inventory and tools 
  • Liaise with cross-functional packaging stakeholders to collect requirements and maintain effective communication
  • Oversee and coordinate the development of shop protocols and procedures
  • Work closely with shipping and receiving team to assist in maintaining inventory levels and shipping plans



  • Technical inclination and mechanically skilled
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook)
  • Strong work ethic, highly motivated and enjoys a challenge
  • Detail conscious and result oriented
  • High level of professionalism, integrity and ethics
  • Willing and able to learn new skills and concepts quickly
  • Enjoys a multi-faceted and dynamic work environment
  • Ability to work effectively with a multi-disciplinary team

  • Problem solving and analysis



  • Minimum of 3+ years in skilled trades and/or technical background
  • Familiarity with a wide range of mechanical skills 
  • Experience working within multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment
  • Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset
