CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER, ERP 

 

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the Continuous Improvement Manager, ERP will focus on identifying, prioritizing, and managing improvement opportunities of Aurora’s ERP system. They will be responsible to manage the improvement of two facets of the ERP project: deployment and system enhancement.  

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Lead the improvement team that supports ERP System Improvement. 

  • Identify, prioritize, and manage improvement opportunities for both aspects of the ERP project: deployment and system enhancement. 

  • Participate fully in each site’s ERP deployment project to identify, prioritize, and manage improvement opportunities for subsequent launches. Specifically:  

  • Monitor cutovers  

  • Support deployments 

  • Capture lessons learned and oversee implementation 

  • Engage with subject matter experts to identify improvement opportunities across the ERP system core models including, but not limited to: Manufacturing, Cultivation, Quality Assurance/Control, Inventory Management, Procurement, and Logistics. 

  • Collaborate with Finance, Information Services, and other prioritization stakeholders. 

  • Develop weekly meeting structures and agendas as required to obtain input from business subject matter experts.   

  • Recognize and address gaps between business practices and ERP solution 

  • Effectively communicate and build consensus with all stakeholders 

  • Support the IS ERP team with all training, implementation, data mining, and development tasks.  

  • Participate in configuration, dashboards, workflows, forms, reports and scripts 

  • Support implementation, customization, and upgrades in other sites across Canada. 

  • Facilitate training and workshops, provide consultation to the target business groups in implementing process improvement initiatives 

  • Leads unit testing on new development and functionality changes 

  • Leads system’s improvement projects, gathers and analyzes complex and large data to drive decision to maximize the benefit of the ERP system. 

  • Applies technical data/analytical strategies across a wide-range of functional/domain areas 

  • Acts as key resource or consultant to department management, customers, and clients on specific projects or issues by suggesting system improvement and customization where appropriate. 

  • Leads efforts in streamlining and improving existing business processes, including analysis and recommendations using multiple improvement tools 

  • Discusses business reporting requirements with stakeholders. Documents and assembles requirements to generate reports, charts, scorecards, dashboards, forecasts for business use. 

  • Presents and communicates dataset results and procedures performed in a coherent and effective manner to both technical and non-technical audience. 

  • Manages and monitors work items and work assignments of team members. 

  • Effectively communicate and interact with staff at all levels, including executive management, throughout the organization.  

 

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • University Degree, preferably in data science, enterprise management, business management. Equivalent experience considered on a case-by-case basis. 

  • Material Resource Planning experience considered an asset. 

  • Six-Sigma Green Belt considered an asset.  

  • Project Management certification, PMP, Agile, CAPM all considered assets; 

  • Successful candidate must be able to use all forms of communication to successfully liaise with project teams, locally and across Western Canada; 

  • Ability to work in the “give and take” of a team environment; 

  • Experience with project management software program and/or collaboration tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, etc..) will be useful; 

  • Ability to work independently, on multiple projects simultaneously; 

  • Flexibility to work in dynamic and ambiguous environments. Ability to pivot in response to rapidly changing priorities under the demands of business conditions and deadlines. 

  • Ability to work well independently under minimal supervision 

  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of each month.
