Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking to hire a Payroll & Benefits Coordinator for their rapidly growing payroll team! Reporting to the Senior Benefits Coordinator, the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, processing, and monitoring the payroll in an effective and efficient manner, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. The Payroll and Benefits Coordinator will work in collaboration with the Senior Benefits Coordinator to support the administrative aspects of the benefits program for Aurora employees and subsidiaries.


  • Entering and updating employee benefit information and reconciling to benefit provider records.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll; entering and auditing data.
  • Communicate and resolve any employee concerns and/or questions regarding benefits and payroll
  • Prepare and maintain ad-hoc reporting
  • Process benefits enrolment, terminations, and changes
  • Ensure compliance to Company policies and procedures
  • Evaluates, requests/concerns, analyses and initiates the necessary action to implement change for improvement
  • Ensure the confidentiality and privacy of employee records as they relate to the organization and its customers
  • Performs other related duties as required.



  • Certified Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) is preferred
  • Detail oriented: High attention to detail
  • Organizational skills: Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects with tight and competing deadlines
  • Customer Service Focus: drive for service excellence
  • Experience using payroll software, time and attendance and HRIS systems
  • Knowledge of payroll & benefit functions and procedures
  • Excellent communication skills, both in oral and written
  • Proficient with all Microsoft Office applications
  • Knowledge of Dayforce is an asset
