Aurora Cannabis is looking for a PROGRAM MANAGER to join our Information Services team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be accountable for delivering all IT Projects, budgeting and planning for those projects, and ensuring that projects are delivered in alignment with the Aurora System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).   This person will manage a team of project managers along with other technical resources, and will ensure that projects are delivered with high quality, and on schedule and budget.




  • Manage a team of project managers who plan, execute, and monitor a variety of projects throughout their lifecycle to ensure that they are completed on budget and on schedule.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders to collect requirements and maintain effective communication.
  • Develop and implement effective reporting to keep project stakeholders and senior management informed on key project metrics
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  •  Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline plus a minimum of 10+ years of experience in managing IT projects with a budget > $1M.
  • Experience program managing a group of project managers
  • Experience managing projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment.
  • PMP designation or equivalent certification would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset.
