Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for a PROJECT MANAGER, CLINICAL AFFAIRS to work with Research & Development team in Nisku, AB, in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that new and ongoing research and development projects are delivered on schedule and on budget.



  • Plan, execute, and monitor a variety of projects throughout their lifecycle to ensure that they are completed on budget and on schedule
  • Ensure that all aspects of assigned projects and activities follow internal processes and external compliance requirements
  • Liaise with cross-functional project stakeholders to collect requirements, monitor progress, drive outcomes, and maintain effective communication
  • Provide leadership to the project team and work with team members to achieve common objectives
  • Develop and implement effective reporting to keep project stakeholders and senior management informed on key project metrics



  • Robust project management skill set including advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Project, and Outlook)
  • Able to learn and apply new skills and concepts quickly
  • Ability to successfully manage small and large budgets

  • Master’s degree in biomedical science or a related discipline
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in managing large-scale clinical research projects and/or clinical trials involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment
  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical regulatory compliance, including requirements, documentation and processes for major international agencies would be considered a definite asset
  • PMP designation or equivalent certification preferred
  • Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset
