Senior Infrastructure Analyst

Aurora Cannabis is looking for a Senior Infrastructure Analyst to join our Information Services team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. Aurora is growing rapidly and to support our growth we are going to be deploying enterprise class technology based primarily on the Microsoft technology stack, along with a software-defined network an many other SaaS based apps and all of the back-end infrastructure needed to support this. The Senior Infrastructure Analyst will play a key role in the planning and deploying of infrastructure services.

 

Main Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide ongoing IT operations support for all infrastructure
  • Implements new technology services-based on architecture approved solutions
  • Maintains any pertinent hardware and software inventories required for rollout
  • Participates in execution, build and test activities
  • Participate in project delivery for all projects that include deploying infrastructure
  • Complies with all project management expectations relating to documentation standards, status reporting etc.
  • Stays abreast of new and emerging technologies
  • Mentorship and knowledge sharing to other team members

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Large enterprise experience with:
    • Cloud platform experience, Azure and AWS
    • SD-WAN architecture, deploying and maintaining
    • Centralized Wireless architecture, deploying and maintain, Aruba preferred
    • Multiple hypervisor experience, Hyper-V and Nutanix HCI preferred
    • Windows\Linux OS Server environments
    • Storage solutions, NetApp, and Nimble preferred
    • PowerShell Scripting
    • Documentation of infrastructure solutions
    • Information security best practices as it relates to infrastructure
    • Required to participate in on-call rotation
  • Experience with the following is considered an asset:
    • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirement
    • Understanding and participation in security compliance
    • Call centre technology and administration
    • Industrial control systems
  • Strong technical knowledge of emerging IT/IS trends and technologies
  • Excellent customer service skills, positive attitude
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and collaborate on projects
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (oral, written and presentation)
  • Develop and maintain positive and cooperative relationships, inside and outside of work group, interacting in a friendly, open, honest, and accepting manner.
  • Bilingual in French and English

 

Education & Experience:

 

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in IT
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of progressive IT experience working in a complex environment with many distributed sites
  • 5+ years’ experience working on projects involving multi-disciplinary teams operating in a fast-paced, innovation driven environment.
  • 5+ years working as a technical resource in in large enterprises
  • 5+ years’ experience working with Microsoft Windows and Linux servers in large enterprises
  • Experience working with Microsoft Azure and O365 in large enterprises
  • Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Experience in the design and deployment of Private and Hybrid Clouds in large enterprises
  • Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset.
