VICE PRESIDENT, MANUFACTURING 

 

Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations, the Vice President, Manufacturing will work closely with the Senior Leadership team by leading and developing effective manufacturing operations and production of all post cultivation products. The successful candidate will provide continued support for both our domestic and international distribution by leading manufacturing strategy, strategic sourcing, and the resulting product quality and cost of goods. 

 

The Vice President, Manufacturing will demonstrate significant leadership experience, have strong analytical abilities, is an effective communicator, and possess the highest level of integrity.  

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 

 

  • Work closely with the SVP, Operations to ensure manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed growth demands, as well as all industry and patient/client requirements regarding product quality, reduced cost, on-time delivery, and safety compliance are met. 

  • Provide leadership in all manufacturing and process validation activities, by ensuring they are conducted in accordance with internal SOP’s, quality and regulatory requirements to support relevant regulatory submission 

  • Oversee the preparation and management of complex GMP manufacturing facility development plans, manufacturing objectives, KPI’s, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning 

  • Optimizing our approach to production processes, including status reports, budgeting, vendor management, and project tracking  

  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership team on manufacturing plans, capacity requirements and new product development  

  • Direct and promote employee safety through Company safety program and create a culture of safety and teamwork in the manufacturing department and throughout the facility  

  • Facilitate the resolution of logistical and technical issues as they arise 

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred. 

  • 10+ years' experience in manufacturing, maintenance, facilities, and inventory control  

  • 5+ years of experience in CI/ Lean Manufacturing practices 

  • 5+ years of Senior Leadership experience required 

  • Understanding of established policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices 

  • Knowledge of global procurement strategies required 

  • Pharmaceutical or manufacturing experience preferred  

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry is an asset 

  • Experience with ERP software required, MS Dynamics GP preferred 

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint) 

  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements
