Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations, the Vice President, Production will work closely with the Senior Leadership team by leading the company’s overall production management, logistics, inventory control, storage and distribution, all while ensuring compliance in a heavily regulated industry. The successful candidate will work closely with the SVP, Operations to design, implement and execute profitable, sustainable and rewarding strategies for the organization.   


The Vice President, Production will demonstrate significant leadership experience, have strong analytical abilities, is an effective communicator, and possess the highest level of integrity. 




  • Lead Production team to achieve established goals in a proactive and pragmatic manner, adjusting strategies and plans of action accordingly to ensure the company uses the most efficient, effective and economically viable methods for production 

  • Work closely with the SVP, Operations to ensure production capabilities meet or exceed growth demands, by generating effective strategies and practical solutions  

  • Provide leadership in all production activities, by ensuring they are conducted in accordance with internal SOP’s, quality and regulatory requirements to support relevant regulatory submission  

  • Apply a comprehensive understanding of concepts within own technical area to design relatively advanced solutions and demonstrates an understanding of key business drivers  

  • Manage operational budgets to actual results and identify variances for further investigation 

  • Oversee the day-to-day production across all facilities, including budgeting, planning and staff development 

  • Continually gather intelligence and information in the marketplace regarding the industry as well as peer companies and communicate to senior management 




  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Horticulture or related discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred. 

  • 10+ years' experience in production/operations management in production / food / industrial facilities  

  • 5+ years of Senior Leadership experience required  

  • Understanding of established policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices 

  • Knowledge of cannabis industry considered a strong asset  

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry is an asset  

  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams with a demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization 

  • Excellent collaboration skills and ability to contribute and engage with their peers in the leadership team 

  • Entreprenurial spirit, insatiable curiosity and an established track record of hard work and dedication to results 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements  

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)
