GENERAL MANAGER, BRADFORD

 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Production, East, the General Manager, Bradford will be responsible for overseeing a team of employees and successfully coordinating and directing the site production, maintenance and planning activities.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams of staff, including production, maintenance, security, quality assurance, etc.
  • Lead transformational organization with new technologies and products lines involving automation.
  • Implement Lean thinking tools for staff development and operations performance.
  • Accurately plan budgets, capital expenses and projects.
  • Implement Reliability Center Maintenance program and activate said program in order to ensure high levels of performance.
  • Develop and execute compliance plans related to Occupational Health and Safety, Product Quality, etc.
  • Audit and report weekly on facility conditions.
  • Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required; troubleshoot issues to determine cause and solution.
  • Use computerized tracking system (CMMS) to ensure accurate collection of all maintenance work.
  • Actively and proactively engage in the ongoing management and improvement of MedReleaf’s quality system.
  • Where applicable, must adhere to MedReleaf’s SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
  • Other duties as required

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION:

  • 12+ years of experience in a similar role in a relevant industry, including: food processing, CPG, Aseptic Packaging, etc.
  • Demonstrated significant experience in site management role in a GMP and ISO certified environment
  • Well developed experience working with ERP systems; Master Production Schedules (MPS), closed loop Material Requirement Planning MRP) and JIT
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong relationship-building and people-management capabilities.
  • Experience working with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ability to multitask and oversee concurrent projects.
  • Excellent time-management, organizational and communication skills.
  • Roll out of advanced Lean Manufacturing; value stream mapping, 5S, A3 root cause analysis, factory visualisation.
