Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking for a Materials Management Associate to work with our manufacturing team in the fast-paced cannabis industry. The successful candidate will be responsible overseeing the planning and coordination of inventory and purchasing. They are tasked with researching best prices, monitoring inventory levels, distributing supplies, and negotiating contracts.



· Supervise, motivate and train assigned staff while ensuring effective teamwork, a high standard of work quality and organizational performance, continuous learning and encourage innovation

· Research potential vendors and prices for exploration of new materials, suppliers, and processes

· Establish and maintain purchasing practices and policies to ensure honest, fair, and ethical relationships with vendors

· Oversee proper production control planning and schedule programs to meet sales forecasts

· Monitor inventory levels and distribution of supplies

· Work with management to identify supply and material needs

· Oversee purchasing/contracting of materials, services and supplies

· Maintain accurate inventory records of activities, quantities and vendors

· Recommend solutions to existing processes to reduce waste and increase quantity



· Knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)

· Excellent communication skills with a well-developed professional phone manner and a focus on positive, productive business relationships

· Exceptional attention to detail

· Strong organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up

· Must be able to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure and tight timelines

· Bachelor’s degree in Logistics or a relevant business field

· 5+ years’ experience in a similar role

· Experience in a shipping and receiving environment preferred

· Understanding of supply chain and inventory management

· Knowledge of forecasting and budgeting processes

· Analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills

· Demonstrated aptitude, analysis and problem-solving skills

· Knowledge of the emerging cannabis industry would be considered an asset
