We are seeking a self-motivated individual to help drive our next stage of growth. The Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) will assure consistent quality by developing and enforcing good manufacturing practice systems; validating processes and continuous product improvement initiatives. Reporting to the Quality Assurance Director, West, this QAM would be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


Main Responsibilities:
• Review and approve all SOPs ensuring compliance to ACMPR, Cannabis Act, QMS, GMP, Final batch review and release, including review of analytic, and microbial results, and facility conditions deviations and change controls
• Guide and advise CAPA review and approval
• Oversee investigations and annual product reviews
• Oversee the management of the Complaint Program to ensure all critical trends are addressed appropriately and investigations are handled in a timely manner
• Oversee and direct Raw material control system
• Design, review and write SOPs that comply with the all cannabis regulations
• Coordinate GMP, GPP, GDP training of new and ongoing staff
• Efficiently and effectively make accurate assessments of failures to correct root cause to ensure continuous improvement
• Directly mange a Quality Assurance team
• Provide guidance to the all other areas of the facility with respect to GMP, ACMPR and Cannabis Act compliance
• Participate with the global QA group to ensure the Aurora standard is consistent across all sites and Quality is built into our processes


Job Requirements:
• Minimum 5‐10 years' experience in the Quality Assurance Field
• 3-5 years’ experience in a managerial role
• A degree or diploma in a science related field Chemistry, Biology, Horticulture
• Quality Assurance experience – 5 years in Pharmaceutical, Natural Health, or Regulated Manufacturing Industry
• Ability to implement and Maintain a Quality Management System including: batch record review, batch release, document control, and CAPA including quality investigations
• Fluency in MS Office is mandatory
• Competency of technological writing (SOPs, Annual Reports, Investigation Summary)
• Ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail
• Degree/diploma in a science-related field
• Must have the ability to articulate your knowledge both verbally and written
• Ability to speak and write in English is considered an asset
