Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Supervisor to join our Air Facility, located in Leduc, AB. This will be a 12-month temporary term position. The incumbent will report directly to the Quality Assurance Manager, Edible Production (West) and will be responsible for the following: 


  • Supervise QA Auditors to ensure tasks are completed efficiently. 
  • Mentor, train, and schedule QA Auditors and ensure adequate staffing based on production demands.  
  • Assist in maintaining Preventative Control Plans (PCPs) for edible cannabis manufacturing.
  • Create, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that comply with regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in implementing continuous improvement initiatives. 
  • Track metrics around compliance and efficiency and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Investigate non-conformances and assist in implementing effective corrective and preventative actions. 
  • Compile and analyze sanitation data and work closely with sanitation team to address deficiencies. 
  • Manage pest control program.
  • Work closely with production to ensure compliance is maintained. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the QA Manager, Edible Production (West).



  • Degree or diploma in food science or other applicable science.
  • 3-5 years' relevant experience in QA in a relevant field such as food manufacturing, Natural Health Product manufacturing or Drug Product manufacturing. 
  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment is preferred. 
  • Understanding of Quality Management Systems. 
  • Experience or an ability to demonstrate competency in GFSI and other quality management programs, including ISO 22000-2017, FSC 22000, ISO/TS 22002-series, ISO 9001-2015, GMP, HACCP, CODEX, COR, associated FSMS.
  • Ability to interpret and understand Regulations in the context of the scientific and commercial environment.
  • Possess strong technical writing skills. 
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience using ERP systems. 
  • Ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask and adapt to an evolving environment. 
  • Ability to both speak and write clearly in English.
