Reporting to the Senior Vice President, Operations, the Vice President, Canadian Logistics will work closely with the Senior Leadership team by leading and developing our logistics and distribution network across Canada. The successful candidate will provide continued support for our domestic and international operations by leading and executing the warehousing, transportation and distribution strategy. 

The Vice President, Canadian Logistics will demonstrate significant leadership experience, have strong analytical abilities, be an effective communicator, and possess the highest level of integrity.  



  • Work closely with the SVP, Operations to ensure fulfillment and distribution capabilities meet or exceed growth demands, as well as all industry and patient/client requirements with a focus on product quality, reduced cost, on-time delivery, and safety compliance. 

  • Provide leadership in all Supply Chain process validation activities, by ensuring they are conducted in accordance with internal SOP’s, quality and regulatory requirements. 

  • Oversee the preparation and management of complex distribution facility development plans, fulfilment objectives, KPI’s, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning. 

  • Optimizing our approach to production and distribution processes, including status reports, budgeting, vendor management, and project tracking with strong focus on results.  

  • Work closely with the Senior Leadership team to develop and deliver manufacturing and distribution plans, capacity requirements and new product launches.  

  • Lead 3PL partnership and manage vendor contracts, performance and SLA’s across the Secondary Supply Chain. 

  • Provide cross functional support and leadership throughout the organization to achieve corporate objectives and deliver solutions for evolving business needs.  

  • Continuously analyze, evolve and adapt the Supply Chain to the changing needs of the industry and Aurora patients/clients.  

  • Oversee the development and documentation of warehousing and logistics standard operating procedures and best practices for maintaining multiple distribution sites.  

  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, material flow improvement, and business development. 

  • Ensure adherence to corporate governance as well as applicable provincial, national, and international regulatory frameworks. 

  • Promote a culture of safety and quality; implementing and maintaining Aurora’s high safety and quality standards. 

  • Facilitate the resolution of logistical and technical issues as they arise. 

  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. 



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or related discipline required, Master’s Degree preferred. 

  • 10+ years' experience in Logistics, Distribution, Warehousing, and Inventory control.  

  • 5+ years of experience in CI/ Lean Manufacturing practices. 

  • 5+ years of Senior Leadership experience required. 

  • Understanding of established policies, procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices 

  • Knowledge of global procurement strategies preferred. 

  • Pharmaceutical or high value product distribution experience preferred.  

  • Experience working in a highly regulated industry is an asset. 

  • Experience with ERP and WMS software required. 

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint). 

  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams. 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of ever-changing deadlines, priorities and requirements.
