EXCISE STAMP COORDINATOR, EAST DISTRIBUTION CENTRE

 

Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently looking to hire an Excise Stamp Coordinator to join our team at our Markham location. Reporting to the Operational Finance Controller, East, the Excise Stamp Coordinator is responsible for managing inventory of cannabis excise duty stamps at the distribution centre and ensuring operational compliance with regulations as they relate to usage, storage, security, tracking, and reporting of stamps. The successful candidate will be expected to spend some time training at our facility in Bradford, Ontario.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • ‪Management and oversite of all excise stamp ordering, usage, storage, security, tracking, and reporting
  • Forecasting stamp usage and ensuring sufficient inventory on hand
  • Maintain a tracking system for stamp status and location
  • Perform regular counts to validate inventory
  • Ensure production staff have controlled access to stamps as needed
  • Perform audits of operations activity, including verifying proper application of stamps to products and retention of damaged stamps
  • Preparation of regulatory reporting on stamp inventory and usage (CRA B300/B301 reporting)
  • Record all excise stamp movements on site, including damaged/destroyed stamps
  • Safeguard the excise stamps by ensuring proper storage, security, and tracking of stamp use by operations
  • Organize and store all paperwork to ensure traceability and auditability
  • Maintain current knowledge of Canadian excise stamp regulations

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

 

  • ‪Experienced in Microsoft Office, with a focus on Excel and Word
  • Ability to learn software quickly
  • Flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Problem solver and able to create new processes and models
  • 1-2 years related experience in logistics or similar environment is considered an asset
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to travel to Bradford and Brampton, Ontario for training
  • Ability to travel occasionally within Canada for training and team events
