SENIOR MANAGER, NEW PRODUCT LAUNCH

 

Reporting to the Director, of Technical Services, the Senior Manager, New Product Launch is responsible for leading all elements of tech transfer and launch of new products. This position will direct and lead the scale up and commercialization of innovative new products, through the application of rigorous testing and validation. This role will appeal to a tactical hands-on problem solver who thrives in a collaborative environment.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead the tech transfer process from the work completed by the Production innovation team to development to the scale up and readiness for commercialization
  • Collaborate with Product Innovation to develop and manufacture new products from pilot scale to full scale up commercial batches
  • Design and execute experiments and test protocols, process validations
  • Create products specs for development and liaises with Product Innovation, operations, QA and Marketing to ensure product is executed against strategy
  • Provide project management and continuous communication cross functionally to ensure timelines are met
  • Managing change control process, prepare supporting documentation, training and transferring knowledge to operations.
  • Develop and foster cross functional relationships to ensure deliverables are met on time, meeting quality and cost/budget targets
  • Other duties as assigned

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:

  • 5+ years’ experience in product management commercializing new products and project management in a leadership position, PMP considered an asset
  • Experience managing and launching new products from concept to commercialization
  • Proven track record of building teams and implementing new processes
  • Accountable for results, strives to meet and exceed expectations
  • Advanced knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)
