We’re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Operations team in the role of Supervisor, Manufacturing.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for a team consisting of Manufacturing Team Members and Shipping/Receiving Associates
- Provide training, leadership, and guidance to team members.
- Assist with conflict resolution within their team.
- Ensure all staff are complying with all SOP’s, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GDP (Good Documentation Practices), and other company policies including but not limited to the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OHSA) and Health Canada’s Cannabis Act.
- Collaborate with Operations and Quality teams to execute and maintain all batch production records by following all SOPs related forms to GMP & GDP Standards.
- Complete all required documentation using GDP Standards.
- Support the Quality Assurance Manager and Quality Team on training and investigations
- Follow and implement instructions from the Operations Manager and ensure all assigned tasks are executed by Coordinators and team members.
- Main point of contact for all internal meetings
- Maintain the proper information loop back to the Operations Manager by attending and participating in team meetings as required.
- Work with Site Management to establish and manage current and long-term manufacturing objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and scheduling.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals, objectives, and metrics by working with external departments.
- Maintaining all relevant Scheduling and Tracking data.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Team on Equipment down time and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Enhanced Communcation and Collaboration skill set
· Process Improvement Mindset
· Post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate from a university, college, or technical institute
· Three to four years supervisory experience in a manufacturing, packaging or pharmaceutical environment is considered an asset.
· Familiar with a variety of Best-In-Class Packaging concepts, practices, and procedures
· Ability to analyze problems and provide solutions with attention to detail.
· Demonstrated leadership dealing with direct reports, setting goals and objectives, and measuring performance.
· Demonstrated ability to multi-task effectively and work well under pressure and tight timelines.
· Strong organizational skills including effective prioritization and follow-up.
· Ability to interact with confidential information invoking a high degree of diplomacy.
· Ability to manage conflict.
· Intermediate to advise knowledge of computer software applications, Microsoft office with a high proficiency in Excel
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
· Previous experience working with cannabis considered an asset
· 3-5 years’ experience managing/supervising staff of 20+
· 2-4 years’ experience in a GMP/GDP environment is preferred
