We’re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Cultivation team in the role of Team Member, Cultivation- Propogation!

 

Major Responsibilities / Duties:

1.    Propagation Assistance:
•    Assist in cloning, cutting, transplanting, and maintaining plants during the propagation process.
•    Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistency and quality in the propagation phase.
•    Assist with the preparation of cuttings for shipments to other sites/parties as required.
2.    Plant Care and Monitoring:
•    Monitor and maintain the health and growth of mother plants and clones, including watering, feeding, and transplanting as required.
•    Monitor vegetative plants ensuring optimal health.
•    Report any signs of disease, pests, or abnormalities to the propagation lead.
•    Perform visual inspections on plants and assist with document/reporting any findings.
•    Perform IPM duties including the release of biological control agents.
3.    Propagation Area Maintenance:
•    Assist in maintaining cleanliness, organization, and sanitation in the propagation area (including mother, clone and vegetative rooms) to prevent contamination and ensure optimal plant growth conditions.
•    Aid and perform in cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment used in propagation processes.
4.    Documentation and Record-keeping:
•    Maintain accurate records of propagation activities, including growth data, inventory levels, and observations.
•    Collaborate with the propagation lead to document tasks performed and report any issues encountered.
Accountabilities:
1.    Support in executing propagation tasks and maintaining the health and consistency of mother plants, vegetative plants and clones.
2.    Adherence to safety regulations, sanitation practices, and accurate documentation of propagation activities.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

1.    Basic understanding of plant propagation techniques, cloning, rooting, and early growth stages in a cultivation setting.
2.    Basic understanding plant maintenance techniques including but not limited to pruning, defoliation, transplanting etc.
3.    Ability to follow instructions accurately, work efficiently within a team, and communicate observations to supervisors.
4.    Attention to detail in plant monitoring, recording observations, and maintaining cleanliness in the propagation area.
5.    Familiarity with safety protocols and compliance regulations in a cultivation environment, especially in propagation processes.

 

Education & Experience:

•    High school diploma or equivalent education.
•    Previous experience in plant care, propagation, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
•    Training or certifications in horticulture, agriculture, or propagation techniques are advantageous.

 

 This role is in one of Aurora’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plants and works directly with products. Towards the end of the recruitment process, we require that you undergo a medical screening exam with our third-party vendor.
