As a Team Member, Processing, you will….
- Main responsibilities include executing harvesting and preparation of Cannabis for processing and bulk packaging.
- Adherence to all Aurora SOPs applicable.
- Ensure that proper sanitation is maintained for all production equipment and tools including workspaces, processing equipment and overall room cleanliness.
- Where trained, performing verification of process and documentation may be required.
- Must adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to all ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
- Promote and maintain GMP and GDP standards.
- Be a steward of Aurora’s Values in Play, an ambassador for our company, our product, and our clients.
- Other duties as required.
You would be the best fit for this role if you have…
- Recognize unsafe conditions and practices and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss.
- Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 50+ lbs.
- Repetitive use of hands, wrists, and forearms.
- Ability to frequently use a step ladder.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required.
- Working environmental conditions range from 19°C - 28°C.
- Must be able to wear proper PPE guidelines including but not limited to jumpsuit, safety glasses/goggles, respirator mask, cut resistant work gloves and follow all PPE and safety related guidelines.
- This position involves significant exposure to cannabis/plant materials, and it is therefore not likely suitable for an employee that may suffer from allergies to cannabis/plant pollen material, or experience other medical issues, such as asthma and hay fever, because of cannabis/plant material exposure.
Bonus points if you have…
- 1-2 years experience working with cannabis is preferred.
- Previous experience in a production or food manufacturing setting is considered an asset.
- Legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed.
- Flexibility with work and scheduling.
- Team-orientated with strong interpersonal skills
- Safety-conscious
- High level of honesty and integrity
- Commitment to product quality
- Functional English (verbal and written)
This role is in one of Aurora’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plants and works directly with products. Towards the end of the recruitment process, we require that you undergo a medical screening exam with our third-party vendor.
