Job Summary:

We’re looking for an ambitious and hard-working professional to join our Sanitation team in the role of Team Member, Sanitation!


 
As a Team Member, Sanitation, you will….

 

  • Sanitize trays, scissors and equipment using cleaning agent
  • Maintain safety and Sanitation standards in designated work area
  • Stock and restock workstations and handle materials for co-workers 
  • Ability to comprehend label instructions, MSDS and chemical mixing formulations
  • Clean and organize equipment storage areas
  • Maintain appropriate inventory levels for inventory optimization
  • Participate in destruction of cannabis from production areas
  • Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora's SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to all ISO requirements and the Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA)
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements
  • All other job duties as assigned

 

 You would be the best fit for this role if you have…

 

  • Previous experience working with cannabis considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to prioritize tasks

 

Bonus points if you have…

 

  • Comfortable working with Cannabis
  • Physical effort is required, lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 30 lbs.
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays and after hours as required
  • Repetitive use of hands, wrists and forearms
  • Comfortable working with step ladders (i.e. step ladder/single sided step ladder)
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE (jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.

 


This role is in one of Aurora’s Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) certified plants and works directly with products. Towards the end of the recruitment process, we require that you undergo a medical screening exam with our third-party vendor.
