Position Summary:

At Aurora Ridge, the Supervisor, Trimming is a key player in our organization. Under the leadership and direction of the Cultivation & Manufacturing Managers, you will be responsible to ensure the organization’s performance standards are met through various Harvesting, Trimming, activities


Primary Job Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for the production team, including: trimming.
  • Maintains processing operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing operational, and personnel policies and procedures as related to the production process
  • Develop process validation plans, protocols, flow diagrams, test cases, apply IQ/OQ/PQ (as required).
  • Work closely with Cultivation/Manufacturing Team leads to ensure the highest quality production operations
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness in order to improve and promote quality
  • Works in a timely manner and strives to increase productivity
  • Works with Quality personnel to develop and implement Aurora Ridge’s SOPs in compliance  with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act and ISO 9001:2008 requirements.
  • Maintain high level of morale, enthusiasm and quality
  • Recognize unsafe conditions and practices, and make corrections to prevent injuries and product loss.
  • Complete safety inspections on the production area as well as being involved in incident investigation and inspection programs.
  • Position details and activities may change from time to time in order to meet operational needs.
  • Actively and proactively engage in the ongoing management and improvement of Aurora Ridge’s quality system.
  • Where applicable, must adhere to Aurora Ridge’s SOPs and comply with Health Canada’s Cannabis Act. In addition, must adhere to ISO 9001:2008 (Quality Management System), ISO 14001 (Environment Management System) and OHSAS 18001 (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series).
  • Where applicable, promote and maintain GMP requirements.
  • Other duties as required


Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in a processing environment in a relevant industry, including: food, health care, pharmaceuticals, etc.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a GMP environment is preferred
  • Must be able to wear Proper PPE (jump suits, safety glasses, hair nets, etc.)
  • Ability to handle stress while performing multiple tasks.
  • Must have ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Close attention to detail
  • Must have experience managing/supervising staff; specifically, more than 30 employees
  • Must have the ability to multi-task
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem solving skills.
  • Intermediate to excellent computer skills in MS Office
  • Excellent time management, leadership, decision making, and interpersonal skills.
