We’re searching for an agile professional (like you) to join our IT Division in the role of Applications Analyst (Sage). In this role you report into the Manager, IT Applications and will develop, maintain, and improve applications by evaluating business needs and developing software systems. You will provide technical support for various applications but more specifically, will be the key resource for our Sage X3 application to ensure the ultimate user experience. Sound exciting? As the Application Analyst (Sage) you will…

  • Provide application system support for custom applications and Commercial Off-the-Shelf (COTS) products including Sage X3
  • Proactively identify, catalog, prioritize application issues, then provide accurate and timely resolution of these issues while ensuring operational stability
  • Develop, configure, enhance, and support in-house built or externally developed application systems by evaluating the business need, gathering technical requirements, developing software systems, and maintaining applications
  • Conduct functional, technical, and performance testing to validate the operational stability of custom built or vendor created application systems
  • Liaise with business stakeholders and external vendors to resolve application system issues and enhance applications
  • Create and maintain documentation for application systems, database environments, and infrastructure environments
  • Design and implement processes, procedures, scripts, templates, databases, and software components that support data quality and integrity
  • Collaborate and build a strong relationship with the IT team and key stakeholders to create and maintain reliable and high-quality application solutions
  • Support special projects, including application developments and infrastructure enhancements, and collaborate with the IT team to evaluate and improve processes
  • Facilitate training on various application systems and projects developed in-house and externally
  • Partake in application auditing and user access reviews as part of IT General Controls and compliance requirements

As an experienced professional you will have…

  • Post-secondary education, such as a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma, in Computer Science or related discipline
  • A minimal of 5 years’ experience in application development, system analysis and IT project engagement tools and methods
  • Strong understanding and experience with IT operational process frameworks and integrating systems through API led design (we would also welcome an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience)
  • Experience with multiple toolsets for deployment, MS Office,  source control management, batch programming and working with relational and non-relational databases, specifically MS SQL Server, MongoDB, and Amazon RDS
  • Broad knowledge of computer systems technology, infrastructure setups, enterprise-level support, programming, design techniques, and various Software Development Lifecyle methodologies

Bonus points if you have…

  • Experience supporting or configuring applications such as Sage X3 (Manufacturing, Finance or Inventory Management modules), MS Dynamics CRM, Mulesoft or Sharepoint Online
  • Knowledge of software requirements for the auditing of systems, ITIL or COBIT
  • Prior experience using Sage SEI Report Writer Tool or similar (Crystal Reports, SSRS, PowerBI) and navigating Azure or AWS platforms
