We’re on the search for a dynamic professional to join our Supply Chain team in the role of Director, Supply Planning. The ideal candidate will direct and lead cultivation and manufacturing schedules to support operations. This role will appeal to a strategic problem solver who excels at creating complex modelling and thrives in a collaborative environment.  

 

As the Director, Supply Planning you will… 

  • Manage, coach, and develop the teams responsible for planning (Cultivation, Production and 3rd Party FG) through a culture of skills development and increased accountability. 

  • Meet Supply Chain operation metrics as outlined in the annual operating plan and monthly key performance indicators (KPIs). 

  • Take a hands-on approach to improve processes, tools and collateral (being comfortable with home grown tools and very excel savvy is a must) 

  • Oversee activities involved in the planning of supply from the receipt of forecasting replenishment needs to the delivery of the finished product into the DC.  Continually improve activities that increase our Service Level to the customer. 

  • Maintain relationships with cross functional groups, and foster a culture of safety, lean manufacturing, winning through customers, respect for each other, and process. 

  • Lead, educate, and build continuous improvement to improve efficiency. 

  • Improve, develop and implement processes that support a best-in-class S&OP process. 

  • Oversee and optimize inventory strategies to meet service and financial goals. 

  • Be responsible for managing Slow Moving and Obsolete Goods (SMOG) processes with a focus on continually reducing inventory at risk of write-off. 

  • Manage changes to supply plans and escalation process, make recommendations to mitigate risk. 

  • Lead the supply planning team to create monthly supply plans, and schedule weekly activities. 

  • Identify, track and trend KPIs including schedule adherence, SMOG, service, inventory targets. 

  • Work closely with facilities to define and project capacity, utilization and manage monthly review and related proposals, decisions and actions. 

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (operations, sales operations, demand planning, finance, engineering, product innovation, and logistics) to lead supply and service discussions, problem solving and prepare team for integrated supply review. 

  • Facilitate the supply review process and coordinate all activities leading to the supply review. 

  • Foster a continuous improvement culture. 

  • Work with a variety of data sources, strong analytical and problem-solving skills and high level of attention to detail 

 

 

It would be great if you have… 

  • 8-10 years of experience in a Supply Planning role in a lot-controlled CPG or pharmaceutical environment  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading coaching and mentoring a team. 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply chain, Business, Engineering, Finance and/or professional designation in Supply Chain  

  • Proven track record of building teams and implementing new processes. 

  • Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt; maintain focus and a high degree of accuracy while working with complex data in an environment of changing deadlines, priorities and requirements. 

  • Experience in Master Production Scheduling and Material Requirement Planning 

  • Experience with ERP system preferably Sage or SAP 

  • Advanced knowledge of computer software applications, with proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word & PowerPoint)

  • Experience with ERP software such as Sage, SAP 

  • Exceptional change management skills in terms of adopting and implementing tools and technology. 

  • Proven ability to develop and build high performing teams and strong cross functional stakeholder.
