ERP Functional Analyst
Aurora Cannabis Enterprises Inc is currently looking for a ERP Functional Analyst. Reporting to the Manager, IT Supply Chain, the ERP Functional Analyst role is a critical position supporting key stakeholders in the design, implementation, and optimization of business processes with a focus on Sage X3. The role is responsible for maintaining the overall integrity of the design, configuration, reporting and business processes within Sage X3.

As a ERP Functional Analyst, you will be responsible for:

  • System expertise in ERP Supply Chain Modules including but not limited to DRP, MRP, Transportation, procurement, order management, inventory management, WMS, BOM, manufacturing, finance, and integration points (internal/external to ERP).
  • Apply expertise in ERP Finance modules to support and improve business processes such as cost accounting, GL postings from inventory movements, asset tracking, and financial reconciliation of supply chain transactions.
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, and Inventory teams to ensure seamless integration and accurate financial representation of supply chain activities, including inventory valuation, COGS, and month-end close activities.
  • System expertise in shop floor systems and related integrations.
  • Ability to act as a liaison between the business and the IT team to properly interpret the needs of the business and enable the proper set up in ERP Applications.
  • Provide application support for assigned ERP applications with Supply Chain.
  • Proactively identify, catalog, prioritize application issues, then provide accurate and timely resolution of these issues while ensuring operational stability.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for recurring issues and implement solutions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Coordinate with vendors and support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Perform functional, technical, and performance testing to validate the operational stability of custom configured or vendor application systems.
  • Work with the IT team to evaluate and document departmental, IT processes and procedures, and business processes and procedures, to ensure consistent support and administrative practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation for application systems, database environments, and infrastructure environments.
  • Develop, configure, enhance, and support in-house built or externally developed application systems by evaluating the business need, analyzing, and gathering technical requirements, and developing software systems in accordance with relevant IT standards.
  • Collaborate and build a strong relationship with all members of the IT team and key business stakeholders to create and maintain reliable, efficient, and high-quality application solutions.
  • As required, participate in application development projects through all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle or COTS product lifecycle to assess impact and ensure operational stability.
  • Provide training to the business on various application systems and projects developed in-house and externally.
  • Ensure that supply chain applications comply with corporate policies and industry regulations.
  • Implement and maintain security protocols to safeguard sensitive supply chain data under the guidance of our cyber security team.
  • Established record for driving operational efficiencies to help reduce organizational cost.

You're the ideal candidate if you have...

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline
  • 5-10 years of experience in application support and system analysis
  • Extensive Experience with ERP (Sage X3)
  • Strong understanding and experience with IT operational process and control frameworks (ITIL, COBIT)
  • Experience working in a publicly traded organization and working robust IT General Control frameworks.
  • Experience working with an enterprise level ITSM (ServiceNow)

Knowledge of the cannabis industry is considered an asset

Bonus Points if you have...

 

 

  • Understanding of financial and inventory integration within Sage X3, including cost accounting, stock valuation, journal entries, and reconciliation processes.

  •  

    Knowledge of the cannabis industry considered a strong asset, including regulatory compliance, inventory tracking, and financial reporting requirements specific to the sector.

     

  • Broad knowledge of computer systems, ERP technologies, programming fundamentals, and application design techniques, with an emphasis on optimizing business processes through Sage X3.

     

  • Familiarity with various Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies including Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid models, as applied to ERP enhancement and deployment projects.

     

  • Experience supporting enterprise-level, multi-site, and global organizations, including configuration of Sage X3 to meet multi-company and multi-legislation requirements.

     

  • Proven track record of working on cross-functional ERP projects with multi-disciplinary teams in fast-paced, innovation-driven environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Sage X3 ERP, particularly in modules related to Finance, Inventory Management, Procurement, and Manufacturing. Ability to support and configure workflows, manage master data, and troubleshoot functional issues within Sage X3.
