Logistics Coordinator - Remote
Employment Type - Contract Full Time (6 months contract)
Hours - 40 hours per week
Salary : $57,000 CAD - $60,000 CAD to start
Job Summary:
Reporting to the Manager, Supply Chain & ERP, the Logistics Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing inventory accuracy, PO receiving management, cannabis movements and involved in ERP implementation. It also entails working and communicating with multiple internal stakeholders as well as with external vendors. The candidate will be a key contributor to the logistics team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee product accuracy within site cultivation inventory system to ensure a seamless integration for the movement of inventory.
- Manage the receiving function of service, clinic or other designated purchase orders (POs).
- Collaborate with procurement team to identify service invoicing errors, efficiency improvements and mitigate future risks.
- Track movement of goods between sites and provide support for the inter-site transfers of cannabis.
- Create and receive inter-site transfer invoices in accordance with SOX compliance.
- Manage ERP systems related to international shipments, transfers, inventory, purchasing receipts and other logistics tasks.
- Support International sales ERP related functions.
- Become corporate "super user" of the ERP system specifically in logistics aspects while working with various departments to assist in determining potential impacts.
- Generate regular reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of logistic operations.
- Assist in monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in logistics, distribution, and PO receipt processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process enhancements that increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, finance, production, and logistics, to gather data and insights for decision-making to align with organizational goals.
- Identify inefficiencies within the supply chain and recommend process improvements.
- Provide recommendations for improvements in logistics and distribution processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and customize the ERP system to meet specific business needs.
Education, Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Strong team player with the ability to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Able to follow and uphold standard operating procedures precisely and consistently.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
